The return trip starts on Sunday when I get back from Oz. It should be about 3,370 miles, via Sturgis, South Dakota.
    Oh I suspect it does.

I am setting out on the Rocket early Friday morning for the Missoula Montana, Rocky Mountain Oyster festival. It is only about a 1200 mile round trip but do I get some sort of award for eating bull nuts?

I may not meet the criteria, but I've had my R3 for 6 months and this was my very first large ride.. from AZ to Tahoe and back.... 1920 miles.
Big deal for me, serious desert riding.....
Iron Butt is my next goal.... wish me luck!

I can only go 100 miles before I end up back at home... So would laps of the island count?

Kudos to you guys. I think that my seat would crack even the most hardened iron butts. I'm trying everything to make it better.

I'm hoping the Rocket is a bit more comfortable than my 05 Vmax was. We did a trip 2 summers ago that was 4 consecutive 600 mile days and toward the end of each day it became TORTURE haha. I've sat on a few Rockets and they seem sooooo comfortable by comparison.
