    Yep, the gas savings would more than pay for it, and it may be a kick to drive!

    I don't find it ugly, i find it different, i will buy one the second year not the first one, that way they will work all the bugs out, you know the first year is going to be trial and error

    For me it's neither safe nor practical. I must have all or 4 wheel drive where I live, plus we'd be eaten alive by the typical roads, drivers and vehicles that we must confront in this region. It's a good concept for the masses in different marketplaces, though. Perhaps it's time has come as opposed to when this novelty vehicle was marginally available:

    was a real clever design the two stroke engine had 2 sets of contact breakers which enabled the engine to be run backwards to give you reverse

    Messerschmitt built the first operational fighter jet. They also built the Me109 which wreak some havoc in WWII.

    Nice and everything but a complete rip off!

    The paint job reminds me of something else though, for a few more grand you could get it, a KTM X-Bow with a 2L Audi race engine in it! Alright so it has 4 wheels but it would be a great driving experience


    It'll be interesting if there is a take up on the Elio though, it might open up that market for more innovation and performance at reasonable prices....
