Thanks Rkt88, that was a blast from the past. One of the anthems from my youth. Good music, fast bikes, JD, etc etc (I'm taking the 5th on the rest) and posh birds looking for a bit of rough (not necessarily in that order). Happy dayz indeed.

You ought to join in that music video threads, Paul. I'm certain that your input would be appreciated.

Here's another blast from the past from England's own answer to Stevie Ray Vaughn and, dare I say it, Jimi:

Listen to all four cuts here to get a sense for Miguel's range! I have a fair amount of discs, CDs, etc., and his CD, Plena de Jupiter, is one of my favorites!

"You are soul" doesn't translate directly into American.

You've got me looking in places for music I had forgotten about, not sure I'm keen on Miguel's guitar though, not to his roots, too much like a sound from somewhere else than where he is if that makes sense...talented but lacking "soul"

And something special for the soul:

I must make it to Cuba atleast once in my life!

    I'll meet you there!

BTW, I know exactly what you mean about Miguel's recorded work... it's derivative. He's definitely at his best when his hair is down and he's playing indigenous musica on his acoustic guitar in some intimate little venue in Puerto Rico .

The BVSC reminds me of these guys, somewhat their American analogues...

I had the privilege of seeing The Blind Boys of Alabama last year with Dr. John.
