    What's for dinner?

    20150627_174944_resized.jpg20150627_180530_resized.jpg

After a 15 minute sprinkle of rain I hobbled out to the Q and tried to cook up a weekends dinner(s).

    Might not last the night.

    Pee already smells bad.

Need help moving the plates, but worked out with a bottle of J Lohr Cabernet.

No meds and the wine was fine.

    hope for later.

The meat looks terrific. Asparagus... well; I would like to say that I do not like that stuff. An alien vegetable... maybe I've never had it prepared properly.

Glad your toe is on the mend

It's easy to sit and sip wine and babysit the Q.

Asparagus is a little bit acquired taste but we grill it.
A little oil and salt and just a bit of char. grill it like a hot dog.
similar to the char on ear of corn. or green chilies.

    Delightful with any adult beverage

I may try to grill asparagus like that. I think I've heard other people doing it that way as well. Have you ever had white asparagus? Germans go plum crazy over that stuff...

The white is not as "grassy" tasting but it's good. I grew up with wild asparagus in the fields nearby.

It's a strong taste, so game (deer?) and stronger meats like lamb give it a nice balance.

    Add roasted potatoes and yum.
