I intended to, but now I feel obliged to earn as much money as I can, every day of the week until 18th December - every pound I earn during this time is effectively multiplied by 6, so I will now probably go to the London show which I believe is in January?

Congrats Tom. Enjoy you're retirement, you'll have earned it by the time you get it. I'm averaging 55 hours a week at the mo in the new job, but things should level off in Jan so gizza shout, maybe you, me, Geoff, and a few others, could meet up at the London show and have a swift half?? I've been everywhere from Hastings to Forrest Hall (north of Newcastle) in the last two weeks but never have time to call in on people.
I don't want to be a product of my environment, I want my environment to be a product of me.
How's your mother?
She's dying.
We all are, act accordingly.
You waited till you were 80 to retire?

The '18 Explorer certainly looks to be a better bike, but the old model has been devalued by bringing out the new one, as always happens, and to get one would mean my bike plus maybe 5 to 6,000 of my hard earned, seeing as Triumph have priced them up near BMW prices.
The question is, would the new bike be 5 to 6K better?
I think not.
Every time I ride the KTM 1290 SuperDukeR I tell myself I need no other bike, it's that good.
Then I jump onto the Explorer and realise all over again why I love it.
Maybe I need a third bike. Sounds logical to me.
